Church School

Infants

On every Sunday parents may bring these children to the Infant/Toddler Room room which will be open from 9:45 to 11:15 a.m.

For Preschoolers, 3 and 4 year olds, the Church School teachers use Gather Round: Hearing and Sharing God's News. It is Bible story based, with appropriate lessons and resources and provides a foundation for the workshop model used by the older children..

Kindergartners through 7th Grade

On Sundays, except for Communion Sundays, Children attend 10 o'clock Worship with their parents for 15 minutes. Here they experience worship, the musical prelude, the call to worship, prayers (including the Lord's prayer), a hymn, a special musical anthem, a scripture and they go up to the chancel for A Time for Children. (Also there are age appropriate bulletins available to help keep them occupied.)

On the first Sunday of each month when Communion is celebrated, children begin in their church school classes and re-enter the service to receive the sacrament. Children and families are provided many opportunities to learn about Communion.
