Choir singing from the balcony

Music for ALL!

Music participation and enjoyment is for is for ALL ages at First Church - from the young children in the Cherub Choir, or the teenagers in our Youth Ensemble to the Adults in the Gospel and Adult Choirs. Our musical offerings on Sundays are as varied as possible, exploring the entire gamut of Christian music, from music of the Renaissance through the present day, from traditional to experimental. Instrumental accompaniment includes our Austin pipe organ, harpsichord, grand piano and a variety of string and brass instrumental groups. We even have regular appearances by a local barbershop quartet! For more information contact Jim Boratko at jim.boratko@whfirstchurch.org.

    Jim Boratko,
    Music Director

Jim Boratko brings many years of experience and love of Christian music to our First Church community. Jim is one of a dwindling number of pipe organists in the country and has had extensive training under Claude Means to fine-tune his amazing skills. Along with directing our choirs each week, he has been instrumental (pun intended) in bringing guest artists such as Paul Halley; Chorus Angelicus; George Sovak; and the African Children's Choir.
