Rev. Susan Izard

Susan Izard is the Associate Pastor of Spiritual Life at First Church of Christ Congregational in West Hartford, Connecticut where she divides her time between ministry with the church and offering individual spiritual direction and supervision. Educated at Yale University, Candler School of Theology, Emory University and the Spiritual Life Center in Bloomfield, Connecticut, Susan is a co-author of the award winning book Knitting Into the Mystery: A Guide to the Shawl-Knitting Ministry and numerous articles on spiritual issues. She is also a leader of workshops and retreats and a frequent speaker on topics about Christian Spirituality. She is a contemplative, compassionate listener who brings a creative approach to her ministry. She and her husband, Bob, are the parents of three children in college.
