John Philip Newell Lecture
On Thursday, December 1st, the John P. Webster Library and the Spiritual Life Ministry will sponsor an evening with noted author, poet and teacher, John Philip Newell. Rev. Newell is an expert on Celtic Spirituality and is the former Warden of Iona Abbey. He recently published two new books, “Praying with the Earth: A Prayer Book for Peace” and “A New Harmony: The Spirit, the Earth, and the Human Soul".
We will offer a light dinner in the auditorium beginning at 5:45 p.m. (suggested donation $15). Please call the library at 860-232-3893 by Monday, November 28th for dinner reservations. John Philip will give a lecture at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium which is free and open to the public. Copies of Rev. Newell's books will be available for sale at the book signing after his talk.
