Confirmation is a series of classes and faith-experiences offering teenagers (9th grade and older) an opportunity to explore questions of faith, learn more about Christianity and the church, and deepen their relationship with God. Together with the ministers, Deacons, and program mentors, participants explore who God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are, what baptism and communion mean, and consider what is means to live a life of faith in the world today and in our own everyday lives.

Additionally, during the course of the class, participants discern whether or not they want to confirm the vows their parents made on their behalf at their baptism or be baptized if they weren’t as infants, and become full members of First Church.
