Membership

If you are interested in joining First Church or in exploring the possibility, we encourage you to speak to a pastor. We offer a new member class twice a year in March and November.

Membership can be undertaken through any of the following:

• A confession or reaffirmation of faith.
• A letter of transfer or certification from another Christian church.
• Confirmation (for young people who learn more about Christianity and the church before joining).

In the United Church of Christ, we honor baptisms from other Christian churches. In instances when individuals have not been baptized this sacrament may be added to the new member service.
