Jennifer deSimas has been the director of the John P. Webster Library at First Church since 2016. She enjoys creating safe, welcoming spaces where patrons gather to explore spirituality and faith issues – places where they can engage with scholars, authors, speakers, and each other. Jennifer is passionate about equality and justice issues and is committed to collaborating with diverse, local partners to offer events that promote peace and compassion.
Jennifer brings a background in museum administration, Montessori education, and faith formation to her ministry in the JPW Library. She served as the CE Director in a local UCC church for 12 years and was a Montessori teaching assistant and parent educator for 18 years. Jennifer and her family enjoy hiking, bicycling, canoeing, baking, tag sales, history/historic houses, the Green Bay Packers, and true crime podcasts.
