Worship

Online Worship

Whether you’ve never attended a church before or have been a life-long member of one, we want you to feel welcome at our First Church online community.

During this time of social distancing and staying home, we are now offering videos of our Sunday worship experience posted on our Sermons page.

We are also posting videos of our Celtic and Taize services.

In-Person Worship

Join us for In-Person Worship!
At this time, we are no longer offering an in-person worship experience in our Meeting House. When we do offer in-person services again, preregistration would be required as the number of seats are limited.

How do I sign up?
A link will be posted when we next offer in-person worship.

If you would like to register, but don’t have access to a computer, please call 860-233-9605 x111 and leave a message with your name and the number of people in your party. Also indicate if you would like to arrive at 9:30, 9:40 or 9:50 am.

What will it look like?
Everyone will enter through the front doors of the Meeting House on South Main Street (all other doors will be locked). Parking cones will be reserving spaces in front of the Meeting House for our service. Or, feel free to drop family members off in front of the building and park in our parking lot. Masks will be worn at all times when in the building.

A Check-in Greeter will sign you in and your temperature will be taken. An Usher will bring you to your seat, filling the church from front to back and dismissing back to front at the end of the service. Members of a household will be seated together and will be physically distanced from others. Bathrooms are available on the 3rd floor at the top of the ramp.

An online bulletin will be made available during the service via QR code. You will be sent the bulletin ahead of time and are welcome to bring a printed copy with you. Headsets will be available in the Narthex for those who need them.

Safety First
If you are not feeling well or have a temperature of 100 degrees or more the day of the service, please stay home and view the video of the service here. Anyone who has traveled to a state on the travel advisory list are directed to quarantine for 14 days.
